Carol Brown Dances was founded by composer Russell Scoones and choreographer Carol Brown in 1998 whilst the company were in residence at the Place Theatre London.  Now based in New Zealand, the work questions the limits of dance through sustained collaborations with other artists and art forms.

Carol Brown Dances generates choreography that attends to movement at the intersections between bodies, architectures, technologies and sounds.

Through sustained collaborations with dramaturges, designers, composers and sound artists the work pushes the moving heart against dereliction.
